"I will love myself more this time."

These were the words of Miles Ocampo when asked on what she promises herself after her past relationship.

It was recently confirmed that Miles and Elijah Canlas have broken up.

In a report by ABS-CBN News, Miles shared how her parents have been her guiding light during the tough times of her life.

"Alam mo 'yung mga parents, kahit hindi ka mag-sabi sa kanila, kahit hindi ka mag-salita, at kahit hindi ka mag-share, nararamdaman nila kung ano ang nararamdaman mo," Miles said.

The actress added: "I am grateful sa mommy ko, sa parents ko, actually. Kahit wala kayong conversation, mararamdaman mo, bigla na lang magte-text ang mama na, 'Kumusta ka? Kumusta ka today?'"

Elijah confirmed their breakup in an interview last November 23.

"We went through a rough patch recently mainly because we are going through our own stuff," he said in a previous interview with ABS-CBN News.

The actor revealed that they parted ways a couple of months ago.

"We are okay, we are not mad at each other... I'm always gonna have love for her and support her with what she does but right now we are taking our time figuring things out," he highlighted.

Elijah and Miles went public about their relationship in May 2022. In an interview with Ogie Diaz last year, the actor relayed that they began dating in 2021.

On why they chose to keep their relationship private at first, he explained: "Very private persons talaga kaming dalawa. E ako, parang hindi rin naman ako ma-post sa social media talaga. So, hindi ko alam yung galawan, e siya yung mas may alam. 'Yon lang, nagki-keep lang po ng privacy."

Miles is set to star in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival entry Family of Two.

Meanwhile, Elijah is currently starring in the television series Senior High. He also released his debut single recently titled "Kilala Kita" which was first featured on the show.
