<p>A 62-year-old mother was one of the people who passed the recent bar exam.</p><p>Rosula Calacala, who is a first-time board exam taker, is now among the 3,812 new lawyers of the country. So eto, nag-aral ako para to spare my time.&quot;</p><p>Rosula shared that she was working while she was in law school.</p><p>&quot;First time and I took the Bar, the law school for only four years. Wala akong failing grade. I’m a working student,&quot; she said.</p><p>On her advice for those who will be taking the bar exam in the future, she said: &quot;&#x27;Wag sila mag cell phone ng mag cell phone kasi istorbo lang ‘yung cellphone. Honestly. I did not waste my time. Sabi niya paenrollin mo &#x27;yung mga anak mo tita, sabi niya. Eh ayaw ng mga anak ko. Sabi ko ako na lang,&quot; she said.</p><p>Rosula&#x27;s two children, who are Certified Public Accountants, were the ones who have been providing financial support to her during her law school journey.</p><p>&quot;Sila ang nag-finance sa akin. Magastos ang law school. Nung nag-review ako they gave me talaga—ang laki ng binigay. Kain pala nang kain ang reviewee. Kasi &#x27;pag hindi ka kumain aantukin ka talaga,&quot; she said.</p><p>Now that she&#x27;s a lawyer, Rosula said she aims to provide legal service for the marginalized.</p><p>&quot;I promised to God na &#x27;pag makapasa ako talagang I will serve God, I will really help those who are in need. Marami talagang tao ang nangangailangan doon sa amin.&quot;</p>
