Demi-Leigh and Tim Tebow back in the Philippines for charity initiatives

Celebrity couple Demi-Leigh and Tim Tebow are in the Philippines for a series of charity initiatives for the Tim Tebow Foundation.

On her Instagram page, Demi shared that they recently had the groundbreaking at Tebow of Village in the Philippines, a place which will provide a home to victims and potential victims of human trafficking and religious persecution in Southeast Asia.

"Truly humbling experience this week at the @compassionatehope @timtebowfoundation Tebow of Village of Hope groundbreaking ceremony!" she shared.

"Grateful for the chance to pray with the team over this land that will house up to 80 children rescued from child sexual exploitation that you guys helped make possible through my 27th Birthday campaign this past summer! Thank you, we are truly grateful!" she added.

Though they have already been in the Philippines before, it is the first time that the couple traveled to the country together.

"Mabuhay! Back in one of my favorite places in the world, the Philippines! 💙 This time with my love @timtebow. Before we ever met, we both had a special connection to the Philippines and this is actually our FIRST time here together!" the former Miss Universe said.

"Excited to share this with Tim and love on so many of the @timtebowfoundation ministry partners while we’re here. It’s not often we get to visit, which makes it all the more special!"

Meanwhile, on his Instagram page, Tim shared that they also recently kicked off the "Night to Shine" event in the Philippines, which is an event that celebrates people with special needs.

"Night to Shine week, lets go! My first Night to Shine in my birth country of the Philippines, and it was amazing! So grateful to be a part of this NTS event as we lead up to this Friday @timtebowfoundation," Tim posted.

"Get ready... 46 Countries around the world. 600+ host churches. Thousands of Kings & Queens. Thank you for praying and for serving, and for celebrating people with special needs!" he added.

Demi also penned a message for those who were able to attend to the "Night to Shine" event.

"Kicking off 'Night to Shine' with an amazing lead up event here in the Philippines! From cheering on the honored guests walking down the red carpet to crowning each King and Queen, I cherish these moments so much. Our hope is that each guest knows and feels how loved they are - not just by us - but by the God of this universe!" she posted on her Instagram page.

"To every honored guest of 'Night to Shine,' we love celebrating YOU. You are so loved by us, your families and friends, and most importantly, by the God of the universe. YOU are royalty - not just at Night to Shine - but everyday! God sees you as royalty because you were made in His image," she wrote in another post.

The Night to Shine program rolled out worldwide the following day.

"We are so excited all around the world, 46 countries, hundreds of thousands of kings and queens. So many volunteers, so many churches. We are so grateful to everyone that has prayed, that supported, thank you so much.”

Tim and Demi got married in January 2020.
