K-Pop girl group MOMOLAND has announced that they are disbanding.

Nancy, Ahin, Jane, JooE, Hyebin, and Nayun posted a letter on social media, announcing that they are no longer continuing to move forward as MOMOLAND.

"First of all, we sincerely apologize to our Merries (MOMOLAND's fan group name) facing the news through an article. We are truly sorry for the late update," the letter said.

"After a long, deep discussion, the six of us members have decided to support each other to have a great new beginning going forward."

The K-Pop stars highlighted that though they will go their separate ways, they will ways be a team.

"Even though we have decided to take our own paths towards our dreams, Us MOMOLAND will always be a team," they stated.

The group then extended their gratitude to their fans for supporting them throughout the years.

"We sincerely thank our beloved Merries for providing us with precious memories and being by our side for the last seven years. Our Merries have been everything to us and always will be," they added.

They then asked their fans to support their individual endeavors moving forward.

"We are deeply sorry that we couldn’t let you guys know sooner, but sincerely thank each and everyone that have patiently waited for us. Moving forward, please continue to support and love MOMOLAND and each and every member’s path," the letter remarked.

Fans were quick to comment on the group's letter.

"Thank you for everything MOMOLAND.. Welcome to the new chapter, I will always support❤️," one fan said.

"I will forever have Momoland in my heart, I'm so proud of you and your girls. I will stand by your side no matter what... Wish you lots of luck in your new beggining!" another fan wrote.

In January 2023, the six members of MOMOLAND decided to leave MLD Entertainment.

The agency released a statment about the said departure of the members.

"After a lengthy discussion with MOMOLAND (Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy), we respected each other’s opinions and agreed to terminate the exclusive contract upon expiration of the contract period," MLD said in a statement.

The agency added: "We express our deep gratitude to MOMOLAND who has been with us for a long time, and we will sincerely wish the best for the members’ future endeavors."

"We would like to ask fans to show unchanging love and support to the six members who are about to start anew."

MOMOLAND made their debut in 2016 through the reality show Finding Momoland.

The group released their debut mini album Welcome to Momoland in November 2016.

The K-Pop group originally had seven members including Hyebin, Yeonwoo, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy who were the winners of Finding Momoland. 

MOMOLAND then added two members, Daisy and Taeha, in 2017.

Taeha and Yeonwoo left the group in 2019 while Daisy exited MOMOLAND in 2020.

The K-Pop group released six EPs, three single albums, one compilation album, and one studio album since their debut.

Their hit songs include "Bboom Bboom" and "Baam."
