Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos couldn’t help but express how hurt she was seeing her son, Luis Manzano, being caught in a controversy. The veteran actress shared that it’s difficult to see different accusations being thrown at Luis.

Vilma broke down when asked by King of Talk Boy Abunda about the current situation her son is facing.

“It's not easy. I am sorry. It's not easy. Mahirap din kasi kung minsan it's your job to do good, to show people that you're comfortable but deep inside you are hurting," Vilma admitted.

The 69-year-old star added that she is confident about her son’s innocence in the whole fiasco. She asked the public to tone it down with the accusations because she knows her son more than anyone else.

“And the only thing I can say is I know my son. Ang anak ko ay tumutulong, hindi nanloloko. Kaya 'yung mga nagsasalita at naghuhusga sa kanya, dahan-dahan lang kayo. Walang ibang nakakakilala sa anak ko kung hindi ako. And I know he is such a good person," the actress added.

Vilma revealed that she has been continuously praying that it deflects to her instead as she doesn’t want to see any of her children hurt.

“At this point it's just asking for guidance, not even for myself but for my children. Ako na lang, huwag lang ang anak ko, ako na lang,” she said.

"I am fine. It's just—it's not easy. It's not easy. At this point in time to all my friends and sa lahat ng mga kaibigan ko just prayers because I know my son, lalagpas din ito because I know him. I know my son," Vilma continued.

The Star for All Seasons sent a message to her son in the interview that everything will be alright.

“You will be fine, anak. Maraming nagmamahal sa iyo and the truth will prevail. Alam ng mga tao yan. Tumutulong ka, anak, hindi ka nanloloko and I love you. I love you, Lucky,” she closed.

Luis submitted a complaint affidavit against the company Flex Fuel last November and claimed that the company owes him ₱66 million. He is being subpoenaed by the National Bureau of Investigation as he was the former co-owner/chairman of the company.
