Celeste Cortesi wants to explore show business

Celeste Cortesi is setting her eyes on exploring show business. 

In an interview with TV Patrol, the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 revealed that she aims to explore more opportunities in the entertainment industry following her special appearance on Mars Ravelo's Darna: The TV Series. 

"Honestly now I am really exploring. I am really looking forward to my next step. I want to explore more," she said.

The beauty queen added: "I want to grow. I really want to step out of my comfort zone. I am really excited to try new things."

Celeste recently took part in the final episode of Darna. The beauty queen played the role of the Queen of Marte.

"Just like Darna.. lumaban at patuloy na lalaban. Taking on the role of Kevnar, The Queen of Marte is definitely a new experience and challenge," she posted on her Instagram page following her appearance on the show. 

Celeste remarked that just like any other challenge, she took it as an opportunity to learn and to grow.

"It is true that when one door closes, another one opens, it’s all about seizing the moment and being grateful for the chance to work hard and to learn more about myself. Here is to new beginnings and to new adventures," she stated.

Celeste extended her gratitude to ABS-CBN for giving her the opportunity to be part of the episode.

"Thank you to everyone at ABS-CBN and Darna for allowing me to be a part of this iconic show that celebrates women empowerment," she stated.

Celeste recently competed in the Miss Universe 2022 pageant held in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 14 (US time). The beauty queen's stint in the pageant was cut short when she did not enter the semifinals.

Upon her return to the Philippines in late January, the beauty queen vowed to "never stop inspiring" even without the Miss Universe crown.

"I am discovering purposes that goes beyond my self ambitions and I am immensely grateful to have had the chance to represent all Filipinos and all the sweet fans of pageantry around the world," she stated.
