On February 14, 2023, The Black Label took to their official Twitter account to welcome their new artist, actor Park Bo Gum. “We are excited to showcase actor PARK BO GUM through various activities and ask for your continued interest and support,” they wrote. Park Bo-Gum is known for being a versatile actor as he starred in multiple dramas with diverse roles such as the actor in Record of Youth, a Joseon prince in Love in the Moonlight, and a genius Baduk player in Reply 1988. The actor also made his appearance on Music Bank as a co-host with Red Velvet’s Irene from May 2015 to April 2016. The Black Label is known to house musical artists like BIGBANG’s Taeyang, “No Makeup” singer Zion. T, and former IOI member and soloist Jeon Somi. Entering a music-centered agency has brought up speculations that Bo-gum will be preparing for a singing debut. Bo-gum is not unfamiliar with the music industry as he released his song for the Love in the moonlightsoundtrack titled“My Person”. The song made its way to music charts such as Melon and Mnet and it debuted at #3 on the Gaon Music chart. He also released a Japanese album called “Blue Bird” last March 2020. Meanwhile, the actor will be starring in an upcoming drama called You have Done Well co-starring with actress and K-pop Idol IU.
