<p>It’s been almost three years since she first made the Philippines proud after finishing seventh place at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in the street skateboarding event and national athlete Margielyn Didal continues to pour her passion into the sport which she has devoted her life to while based in her hometown in Cebu City.</p><p>Last February 21, the 23-year-old skateboarding champion made headlines again as she proposed to longtime girlfriend Jozel Manzanares over a romantic dinner date at Soul Sierra in Cebu on their eighth anniversary together as a couple.</p><p>On her Instagram account, Margielyn shared photos from the surprise proposal. She wrote, “Yes or YES ?!! Jozel flew to Brazil within days of the accident to be there for Margielyn and help with her post-op care. Since then, she has been beside her partner all throughout the recovery process. Despite not making it into the podium, Margielyn still went viral for her participation in the Olympics where she captured the hearts of audiences worldwide for her display of good sportsmanship and all around good vibes.</p>
