Unkabogable star Vice Ganda recently uploaded on his YouTube channel a video showing that he went on a surprise date with Carlo Mendoza—more famously known as Gigil Kid—whom he treats as his own kid. The comedian-actor shared that it’s been years since they both last saw each other due to the pandemic and the conflict of their schedules. 

Vice added in the vlog that Carlo had no idea that they would be meeting up as the latter only knew that he was supposed to meet his potential partner for a love team.

“Gusto ko makipagdate. Makikipag date ako sa isang tao na hindi naman ikakaselos ni Ion [Perez], pinayagan naman niya ako. Gusto ko talaga makasama tong taong ‘to, miss na miss ko na siya at mahal na mahal ko siya,” Vice explained.

Carlo was surprised to see Vice was the one who removed his blindfold and immediately went in for a hug as he admitted how much he missed the comedian. The It’s Showtime host was also happy to see how much Carlo has grown since the last time they saw each other.

The social media sensation couldn’t stop giving compliments to Vice and shared how thankful he is for the comedian as he funded his education before.

“Gusto ko po sabihin sa inyo na mahal na mahal po kita kasi tinulungan nyo po ako nung bata po ako. Tinuturing nyo kong parang isang anak. Sana kahit hindi tayo nagkikita madalas, sana lagi nyo po tandaan na maraming pong sumusuporta sa inyo. At sana ipagpatuloy nyo ang pagpapatawa sa mga tao kasi dahil nandito lang po ako sa likod nyo, kami na parang tinuring nyong anak,” he shared.

Vice brought a scrapbook to their date and showed the photos of the two of them on the set of Gandang Gabi Vice from years ago. The comedian couldn’t help be emotional after reminiscing about all the contents of the scrapbook with Carlo. 

“Alam mo, ito yung pinakagusto ko sa’yo,” he told Carlo. “Sobra siyang lambing. Tuwing makikita niya ako kahit saan, tatalon siya sa akin tapos hahalikan niya ako ng madami,” Vice said.

Carlo went viral on social media years ago for his witty remarks which netizens dubbed him as the ‘Gigil Kid.’
