P-Pop group BGYO reacted to their 2x2 photos that went viral online.

It all started when a netizen posted the 2x2 photo of BGYO member Gelo on Twitter and expressed his awe of the singer's visuals in the picture.

The photo was liked and retweeted thousands of times on Twitter. Afterwards, Gelo's 2x2 photo also started going viral on Facebook and TikTok.

Following the trending photo of Gelo,  Star Music then posted the other 2x2 photos of the rest of the members Akira, Nate, Mikki, and JL on Twitter much to the delight of the fans.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Gelo shared that the 2x2 photos were taken when they were applying for a US visa.

"Para sa US visa talaga ang mga picture na 'yan. And nalaman na lang namin nung marami ng nagta-tag sa amin at tsaka kahit 'yung nanay ko [sabi], 'Uy Gelo, BGYO trending, ganyan.' So  nakakatuwa dahil sa simpleng ganyan maraming naka-appreciate," Gelo said.

Akira said that they did not expect that their 2x2 photos would go viral.

"Sobrang unexpected na kakagatin 'yung 2x2 picture namin," he said.

The group then extended their gratitude to ACEs (their fandom's name) for appreciating their pictures.

"Marami ring salamat sa mga casuals po na ina-appreciate rin 'yung BGYO," Gelo added.

Their songs include "The Light," "The Baddest," "Kundiman," "He's Into Her," "The Baddest," and "Magnet."

Their first album The Light was released in 2021 while their latest album Be Us was released in 2022.

Last year, the group traveled to the US to do promotions for their second album and to do various group activities.

In an interview with Teen Vogue in December, the group talked about their latest single "Magnet" and why it's their favorite era to date.

"My favorite era is 'Magnet' because of the sound, the concept, and the wardrobe, which is very sexy and unique," Mikki said in the interview.

Gelo added: "This is the kind of vibe and music I’ve [always] wanted to have. We've improved vocally and in general, this is the latest era. I also love how we try to reach for the masa (mass) audience while keeping BGYO’s quality, which can pierce through non-Filipino listeners worldwide."
