Taylor Swift celebrates Best Music Video Grammy win of ‘All Too Well’

Following her Best Music Video Grammy win for "All Too Well: The Short Film," Taylor Swift took to social media to pen a message of gratitude to the Recording Academy for honoring her work.

"I can’t put into words what this means to me. For the @RecordingAcad and my peers to acknowledge me as a director, and in doing so, acknowledge my work to try and reclaim my music… I’m blown away," she said.

The singer also extended her gratitude to her fans for supporting her journey of re-recording her previous albums. 

"Thank you to all the fans who willed this to happen," she remarked.

Fans online were quick to congratulate Taylor on her big win.

"So happy for you! Incredibly deserved," one fan commented.

"First artist to win Best Music Video [at the Grammys] as a SOLO director!" another fan said.

"We’re so incredibly proud of you!!!! Here’s to more exciting adventures for you," another fan wrote.

The 65th annual Grammy Awards was held at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California on February 5 (US time).

Taylor released the re-recorded version of Red in November 2021. Among the tracks in Red (Taylor's Version) is "All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version)."

Following the released of Red (Taylor's Version), she released in November a short film for "All Too Well" starring Sadie Sink, Dylan O’Brien, and herself, which she directed.

The short film tells the different chapters in the love story of a man (Dylan) and a woman (Sadie), from the happiest to the darkest moments of their relationship.

The short film had its premiere at the AMC Lincoln Center theater in New York City.

In an interview with director Martin McDonagh for Variety back in December 2022, Taylor opened up about the journey of directing her first-ever short film based on the song she wrote.

"Emotionally, I was going through exactly what the short film depicts, and I think that time is such an incredible asset to use when we have these stories that are hard to tell,” she said to Martin.

"Because it’s good if a story is hard to tell, that means it’s incredibly emotionally potent, but it’s impossible to tell it with perspective and truth if you’re in it sometimes," the singer added.

Taylor then recalled the things she went through when she was younger and how it was reflected on the short film.

"I think there’s a moment when you’re 19 or 20 where your heart is so susceptible to just getting broken, getting shattered, and your sense of self goes out the window so quickly, and it’s such a formative age," she stated.

"I wanted to tell that story, too, about sort of girlhood calcifying into this bruised adulthood."

After directing All Too Well: The Short Film, Taylor is set to direct her first feature film.

Variety reported in December that the multi-talented artist will be directing a movie with Searchlight Pictures.

It was also confirmed that Taylor also wrote the script for the film.

“Taylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller. It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey,” Searchlight Presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield said in a statement as reported by Variety.
