James Reid defends Issa Pressman, says he’s the happiest he’s ever been

<p>James Reid and Issa Pressman set the online world abuzz after being spotted seemingly holding hands in a photo which was posted on Issa&#x27;s Instagram.</p><p>The said photo revived rumors of romance between the two as Issa was accused of being the third party behind the breakup of James and ex-girlfriend Nadine Lustre in 2020. This rumor was then debunked by Nadine herself and Yassi Pressman, Issa&#x27;s sister.</p><p>On Friday, March 17, James took to social media to address the matter.</p><p>&quot;I&#x27;m only gonna say this once. The past rumors about Issa are just that, rumors,&quot; he said in a post on his Instagram Story.</p><p>&quot;I usually NEVER address bashers or get involved in hate culture but I feel the need to speak up now because this is the start of something beautiful. And I&#x27;m  not gonna let anyone take that from me,&quot; he added.</p><p>The singer-actor also seemingly spoke up about the status of his heart.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1679109262933.png" style="width:500px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>&quot;All you need to know from me is that I&#x27;m the happiest I&#x27;ve ever been,&quot; he said.</p><p>James and Nadine confirmed their split in January 2020 in a joint statement sent to the show <a href="http://ent.abs-cbn.com/tonightwithboyabunda" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><em><strong>Tonight With Boy Abunda</strong></em></a><em><strong></strong>.</em></p><p>In the statement, the ex-couple highlighted that they decided to part ways not only to focus on themselves and on their careers but also for their personal growth.</p><p>&quot;We agreed that going separate ways was best for both of us.
