Bretman Rock is back in the Philippines.

The Filipino-American internet sensation, 24, recently returned to Manila for the upcoming launch of his new memoir, You’re That Bitch & Other Cute Lessons About Being Unapologetically Yourself. The book, released on Valentine's Day, features a collection of essays about Bretman’s life, from his childhood in the Philippines, his experience as a first-generation immigrant, and his journey to becoming a social media sensation at the young age of 14.

On Instagram, Bretman shared several snapshots of himself back in his home country, with the caption, “Serving Motherland,” followed by a Philippine flag emoji.

While in Manila, Bretman graced the first Mystery Dinner hosted by Vogue Philippines, “an event designed to spark meaningful conversations between people of different walks of life.” Also spotted during the party were actress Kylie Verzosa, host Mond Gutierrez, photographers BJ Pascual and Shaira Luna, and designer Rajo Laurel.

On Thursday, March 1, a press conference was held for Bretman ahead of his book launch in Manila this weekend. Host Bianca Gonzalez, who is a fan of Bretman, was among those who attended the event.

"I have always, always been the nerdy, goody, plain girl, but speaking with you and soaking in your energy makes me feel like I could be THAT b*TCH too. Keep on being the QUEEN that you," Bianca. wrote on Instagram.

Bretman is set to hold his grand book launch this coming Saturday, March 4, at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall in Mandaluyong. Another book signing event will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall in Pasay on Sunday, March 5.

Since gaining worldwide fame for his funny videos on Vine and makeup tutorials on YouTube, Bretman — who was born and raised in Cagayan but is now based in Hawaii with his Filipina mother — has released his own makeup line, starred in his own MTV reality show, and made history as the first openly gay male cover star of Playboy magazine.
