John Arcilla’s work honored through Senate Resolution 490

The Philippine Senate recognized Best Actor win at the 78th Venice International Film Festival in 2021 for his performance on the film On The Job: The Missing 8 through Senate Resolution 490.
This, after he became the first Filipino to take home the prestigious Volpi Cup Best Actor Award and commending his significant works in the field of entertainment and the performing arts.
In his post, John wrote,: “Taos puso po ang aming pasasalamat sa ating SENADO sa Resolusyong inamyendahan para sa inyong Lingkod bilang pag kilala sa aking trabaho bilang AKTOR partikular sa pag ganap bilang “Sisoy” sa pelikulang On the Job: The Missing 8 sa direksiyon ni @erikmatti mula sa @realitymmstudios," he said.
"Isang pagpupugay sa sining ng Paglikha at Pag ganap sa Pelikula. Mabuhay ang Artistang Pilipino at ang mga Mangagawa sa Pelikulang Pilipino. Patuloy nawa tayong pagpalain ng Diyos! Mabuhay," he added.
In his post last week, the talented actor gave thanks to all the senators who were behind Senate Resolution 490 which is also known as Official Resolution 43.
He wrote: "Thank you Honorables Sen @senlitolapid @robinhoodpadilla @bongrevillajrph @jinggoyofficial @hontiverosrisa @joelvillanueva and all our Honorable Senators from both Majority and Minority group who Co-authored; adopted and unanimously Amended the Resolution."
He continued: "This accolade is another Historical event and truly a milestone in my journey and commitment not only to my work but to my purpose in this lifetime. So help me God. I wish everyone a wonderful Day and may God keep us all safe and Healthy. God bless our Land, God bless the Earth, God bless everyone.”
In another post, the On The Job: The Missing 8 star also thanked the team behind the movie that gave him a chance to compete in the international film community.
“It is such an Honor to be recognized by Award giving bodies in our country most specially by Global Award giving bodies. But the Honor given by a Legislation in one’s Country is another thing. Thank you so much tito Sen @senlitolapid and to all the senators who co-sponsored, co-authored and adopted the resolution for yours truly for our Film OTJ2 The Missing 8," he wrote.
"Congratulations to our team, every time the 78th Venice and Volpi Cup is being mentioned I always feel that it is all of us in the team that is being recognized, not just me, so today I would like to congratulate the whole team of OTJ2 The Missing 8, Erik Matti, Don Monteverde and everyone from Reality Studio. God bless everyone and Godbless our Country! Mabuhay!” he added.
John is currently seen on Prime Video as part of the cast of first Filipino Amazon Original movie Ten Little Mistresses where he plays the role of the patriarch Valentin.
Also part of the cast are Cherry Pie Picache, Agot Isidro, Carmi martin, Arci Munoz, Eugene Domingo, Sharlene San Pedro, Kate Alejandrino, Christian Bables, and Pokwang.
