Maxene Magalona on her healing journey: ‘You will lose friends and relationships along the way’

<p>Maxene Magalona shared a meaningful advice on relationships with family and friends.</p><p>After celebrating Valentine’s day last month by taking herself out on a relaxing staycation and buying her own flowers, actress Maxene Magalona continues on her journey towards self-discovery and healing.</p><p>Maxene admittedly continues to work on her inner self for the past three years.</p><p>The 36-year-old actress regularly shares words of advice and meditation with her 2.6 million followers on Instagram. </p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2023/1/1/maxene-magalona-biggest-lessons-from-2022-1038" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u>READ: Maxene Magalona shares her biggest lessons from 2022: ‘Pain is a natural part of life’</u></strong></a></div><p>In a post last Monday, February 27, Maxene shared how some changes in life can also mean having to say goodbye to some connections.</p><p>Quoting author Rob Hill, she wrote: “I don’t force friendships or communication. If it’s not mutual, I’ll let it go. It’s that simple for me.&quot; </p><p>&quot;In your healing journey, whether you like it or not, you will lose friends and relationships along the way—even if they are your family. It’s painful and confusing to say the least but as the golden rule of surrender says, &#x27;It is what it is,&#x27;&quot; she added. </p><p>She also talked about what it really means to heal, revealing it&#x27;s all about unlearning and removing a lot of things — including traumas and old beliefs. </p><p>&quot;To heal means to unlearn and remove all the layers of past conditioning, limiting beliefs and toxic behaviors that are no longer serving you. Everything that you learned and experienced as a child, especially the traumas and old beliefs that were unconsciously passed on to you, you will have to let all of that go as you evolve and mature,&quot; she said. </p><p>Maxene also said that people who go through healing processes change the energy within them and would eventually help them become healthy. But Maxene noted that there are could be consequences. </p><p>&quot;As you continue to do the inner work everyday to process your pain, heal your wounds and transform yourself, you will inevitably change your energy. While this is very good and healthy for you, it may not be a favorable outcome for the people in your life — especially those who prefer the old version of you,&quot; she said. </p><p>Then again, Maxene said it&#x27;s important to match one&#x27;s vibration with the people around them.So, it&#x27;s always up to the person to either stay or leave.</p><p>&quot;If the souls around you are not doing the work to heal and grow, their energy will no longer be a vibrational match to yours. When this happens, it’s up to you to decide whether you will lower your own vibration to meet theirs or stay in your frequency and choose to vibe with the people there,&quot; she said.</p><p>Maxene also shared why people sometimes feel a deeper connection with people they have only met than those they have known for years.</p><p>&quot;This is why we can be friends with someone for so long but feel a deeper connection with someone whom we’ve only met. Remember—time is an illusion. The number of years that you’ve known someone can never compare to the depth and strength of the connection that you share,&quot; she said. </p><p>Meanwhile, Maxene also shared that it&#x27;s normal to keep a healthy distance even from family members. </p><p>&quot;When it comes to family, it is very normal and advisable to take breaks and keep a healthy distance from each other for a while especially if the relationships have already become toxic and unhealthy. Last year it was surrender.
