American singer-songwriter Ariana Grande took to social media to address the comments netizens have been making about her body. On the social media platform TikTok, Ariana uploaded a three-minute video on why people shouldn’t make comments about the appearance of others.

Ariana maintained that people have different—and healthy—body types. She urged her followers to “be gentler” in commenting about the appearance of others.

“I think we should be gentler and less comfortable in commenting on people’s bodies no matter what. If you think you’re saying something good or well-intentioned, whatever it is—healthy, unhealthy, big, small, this, that, sexy, not sexy—we should really work towards not doing that as much,” she said.

The American superstar added how netizens have pointed out that her body that was at her “unhealthiest” stage in her life. Ariana revealed that during those times, she was at the “lowest point” of her life.

“I was on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly and at the lowest point of my life when I look the way you consider my healthy but in fact it wasn't my healthy," she added.

The 29-year-old actress continued to explain in the video how netizens shouldn’t judge others based on their outer appearance as they never know what that person is going through in their life.

“You never know what someone is going through so even if you're coming from a loving place and a caring place, that person is probably working on it or has a support system that they are working on it with, you never know so be gentle with each other and with yourselves,” she continued.

Ariana gave her followers on TikTok some words of encouragement to uplift their spirits. The award-winning celebrity encouraged her fans to continue sharing their feelings and maintain the body positivity culture on social media.

"Sending you guys lots of love and I think you're beautiful no matter what you're going through, no matter what weight, no matter how you like to do your makeup these days, no matter what cosmetic procedures you had or anything. I just think you're beautiful and just wanted to share your feelings. Have a beautiful day and I'm sending you a lot of love,” she said.
