Five years since they last worked together, former Kadenang Ginto co-stars Beauty Gonzalez and Francine Diaz still haven't lost touch with each other.

In an interview on PUSH Bets Live, Beauty, 31, got candid about her relationship with her former Kadenang Ginto  co-stars today, saying that while she has lost contact with most of them, she and her onscreen daughter still talk every once in a while.

“I haven’t been in touch with them because I’m not the type of person na nagre-reply din eh. Tamad ako mag-reply, alam ng manager ko ‘yan. Magre-reply ako mga after two days, one week, one month,” she explained.

“But yes, I’m in touch with Francine. The last time I saw her was in her debut. So she sometimes sends me [texts] once in a while. Only with her, because they’re all busy right now ‘di ba,” she added.

The actress, who has since switched networks, also talked about her time on the show, saying she is happy she got to do Kadenang Ginto  before the global pandemic hit and prior to the broadcast closure of ABS-CBN in 2020.

“I’m so so thankful with ABS-CBN because, you know, bago nangyari man ang lahat ng nangyari, nagawa namin ‘yung Kadenang Ginto. So parang naka-slide pa ako bago nangyari lahat, so thank you so much,” she said.

Kadenang Ginto  — a series about the conflicts within the affluent Mondragon family — also starred Dimples Romana and Andrea Brillantes. For most of its run, the afternoon drama was hailed as the no. 1 program in its time slot, with its unforgettable scenes and shocking twists spawning online memes and even an international TV remake in 2020.

The series was Beauty’s last project with ABS-CBN before transferring to TV5 and ultimately to GMA-7 network. Aside from Kadenang Ginto , Beauty has also starred in the ABS-CBN shows Pusong Ligaw, Ningning, and Dream Dad.
