Ogie Diaz reflects on his mom’s passing

<p>As one of the country’s most popular talent managers, Ogie Diaz is also active on social media, as an entertainment reporter and vlogger.</p><p>The 53-year-old writer and actor is also known to have handled the careers of artists like Vice Ganda and Liza Soberano.</p><p>Last April 23, Ogie shared a message after the passing of his mother Carmen “Mameng” Diaz Pandaan at the age of 87 on his personal Facebook page.</p><p>He wrote, “Salamat sa lahat ng pakikiramay sa pagpanaw ng aking mahal na ina, si Aling Mameng. 87yo, hindi na kami choosy. At least, naipikit niya ang kanyang mga mata na kumpleto ang kanyang mga anak.”</p><p>“Higit sa lahat, I’m proud to say na naibigay ko naman sa nanay ko ang lahat ng pangarap niya sa buhay.”</p><p>“Salamat sa lahat ng sakripisyo at pagiging selfless, Nay! Mahal kita. Eh si _____, nakiramay ba?”</p><p>“Nag-text man lang ba para makiramay si _____?  Di ba, close kayo no’n?”</p><p>“Sa tagal ko sa industriyang ito, hindi ko talaga naging ugali ang umasa. Kasi kahit naman itong kung anuman ang narating ko sa aking career eh di ko rin naman in-expect.”</p><p>“Di ko rin inoobliga ang mga kakilala, kaibigan sa showbiz na porke magkaibigan kami ay dapat silang pumunta sa wake ng nanay ko.  Yung makiramay lang sa text or sa comment section or magpadala lang ng bulaklak, sapat na.”</p><p>“Bonus na lang kung andun ang presensiya nila mismo sa wake.  Kasi effort yon. At malalim ang appreciation ko doon.”</p><p>“Maraming salamat sa lahat ng efforts, Loi Villarama, dahil ikaw ang umayos ng lahat katuwang si Ernie Lim, para i-arrange ang lahat ng kailangan sa Sanctuarium, Araneta Ave.</p><p>“Sa Friday at 2 pm ay simula na ng pagbiyahe ng aking mahal na ina (Carmen Diaz Pandaan) sa kanyang huling hantungan kapiling na ng tatay ko, tulad ng kanyang request.”</p><p>“Malungkot, oo. Pero mas masaya ako kasi masaya na ang nanay, dahil pahinga na siya. Na-enjoy naman niya ang 87 years of existence.”</p><p>“Juice ko, sabi ko nga, choosy pa ba sa 87? Na hindi nga natin alam lahat kung aabutin natin ang edad na yon sa panahon ngayon?”</p><p>“Again, salamat sa lahat ng pangungumusta nyo, pakikiramay at pagmamahal sa akin.”</p><p>“Nay, you did a great job. Saludo ako sa ‘yo.
