Ellen Adarna reveals why her son Elias is already ‘super mature’

<p>Ellen Adarna also shared how thankful she is to her husband Derek Ramsay for taking good care of her son with her former boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz.  </p><p>It can be recalled that she previously revealed her plans to take a break from showbiz and focus on growing her family this year by having a second baby.</p><p>“Thank God high energy si Derek kasi hindi ko kaya &#x27;yung boys energy. hindi ako marunong makipaglaro ng lalake. Hanggang sa nurturing lang ako, pakain at paligo, hanggan diyan lang ako,&quot; she admitted during the recent grand opening of the Shinagawa Diagnostic and Preventive Care Center in BGC, Taguig City.</p><p>&quot;I think it’s a guy thing. It’s a boys energy. He spends time with John Lloyd (Cruz). I make sure that he has a good relationship with John Lloyd. He needs John Lloyd as much as he needs me. So our co-parenting is okay naman. He has 12 days a month with him. I’m fair. I’m very fair,&quot; she said.</p><p>The actress-ambassadress also said Elias is already super mature for his age, saying her son&#x27;s exposure to both of his parents&#x27; lives had a positive impact on his life.</p><p>He’s super mature. Very well exposed kasi. Kahit hindi pa siya nag-start ng school, John Lloyd and I have very different lives so he’s exposed to my life and he’s exposed to John Lloyd’s world so it merges and I think it’s very good for him,&quot; she explained.</p><p>&quot;&#x27;Yun lang naman yung kailangan ng bata, a lot of exposure. Naintindihan na niya yung set-up. Kasi di ba sinusundo ni John Lloyd and then I bring Elias to the car and then she was there and we said hi, hello. We acknowledge lang. Of course, of course [that’s important]. Kasi makikita yan ni Elias di ba?&quot; she added.</p><p>On making sure that her son has a good relationship with John Lloyd Cruz, she said: &quot;Sana naman happy and harmonious din &#x27;yung relationship nila kasi magiging standard niya &#x27;yan na this is what a loving family or a loving couple or mother and father should be like,” she continued.</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2023/1/5/ellen-adarna-derek-ramsay-on-vacation-in-sweden-1726"><strong>READ: Ellen Adarna, Derek Ramsay on vacation in Sweden<br/></strong></a></div><p>Even with their harmonious setup, Ellen admitted she is not yet ready to have a blended family setup when it comes to celebrating family milestones like Elias’ birthday.</p><p>“At this point not yet (laughs). Kasi wala pa namang kasing events. For example, hindi pa nag-su-school si Elias. Hiwalay &#x27;yung celebrations. In time,” she shared.</p><p>When asked if she would ever allow her son to follow his parent’s footsteps into showbiz, she immediately said: &quot;School muna bago yan. And then after that, he can do whatever he wants with his life. But school muna.&quot;</p><p>Ellen gave birth to her son Elias in 2018 at the Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu where her clan is based. She and John Lloyd parted ways in 2019.</p><p>Meanwhile, Ellen started getting close with Derek at the start of 2021 and revealed they were a couple in February of the same year and got engaged the following month.</p><p>After a whirlwind romance, they got married in November 2021 in a beautiful sunset ceremony in Bataan.</p>
