Cornerstone Entertainment has released an official statement on the passing of its talent, Bella Echarri, the younger sister of actor-singer Kyle Echarri. 

“Bella was a beloved member of the Cornerstone family and her passing has brought us great sorrow. We will miss her dearly,” the management wrote. 

“We send our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the Echarri family and their loved ones in this difficult time. We invite everyone to join us in praying for the eternal repose of her soul. May she rest in peace.”

Born Isabella Rae Echarri, the younger sister of Kyle passed away on Saturday, April 1, after being diagnosed with a brain tumor last year. She was 12 years old.

Both Kyle and his mother, Marie, shared the sad news in heartbreaking posts on Wednesday, April 5, in which they paid tribute to Bella.

“To my princess: I love you more than you will ever know ta. You are the most amazing sister anyone could ever ask for. I already miss your hugs/kisses for Manong whenever he was sad and your cheers for whenever I was on stage,” said Kyle in his post.

“Now more than anything I’m happy to know that you’re done with the year of fighting something you never deserved… you can finally smile, sing, dance, swim, and EAT again. And don’t worry I know I didn’t lose my sister… I just got a new angel. I love you ta, Forever,” he added.

Following their announcement, fans and celebrities extended their condolences to the grieving family, including Anne Curtis, Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Janine Gutierrez, Donny Pangilinan, Andrea Brillantes, Charlie Dizon, and Darren Espanto.

Others were Zsa Zsa Padilla, Luis Manzano, Seth Fedelin, Inigo Pascual, AC Bonifacio, Edward Barber, Sue Ramirez, Barbie Imperial, Yeng Constantino, and more.

Back in July 2022, Kyle spoke about his love for his little sister after it was revealed that she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. 

“Mahal na mahal ko po talaga 'yung kapatid ko. Alam n'yo naman po 'yun since Day 1. Tuwing nagge-guest naman siya sa Magandang Buhay talagang umiiyak po ako parati,” he said.

“Hindi n'yo po makikita ang ganitong Kyle Echarri kung wala po si Isabella Echarri kasi siya po talaga nagbago ng buhay ko. And she's always been the center of my life and everything that I do,” he added.
