Mario Maurer to perform for Filipino fans in Manila in June

Thai star Mario Maurer is set to return to the Philippines to perform for his fans in the country.

On Sunday, April 30, the Thai actor announced that he will be part of an event in Manila called "The Exchange: Thailand," which will be staged at the World Trade Center in Pasay City on June 22 at 7 pm.

"Are you ready to be blown away by amazing music and performances? 🎶 'The Exchange: Thailand' is bringing together the best of Thai and Filipino talent for an unforgettable concert experience! Don't miss out - get your tickets today," he posted on his Instagram page.



Filipino fans of Mario were quick to express their elation to see the actor again in the Philippines.

"Pinoys are so excited to see you here," one fan commented.

"OMG! Mario Maurer in the Philippines," one fan said.

Other Thai artists who will be headlining the event are Mike Angelo, Davika Hoorne, and Perses.

Meanwhile, Filipino artists will also be part of the event including BGYO, Donny Pangilinan, and AC Bonifacio.



In an interview at a Christmas special for a Filipino telco brand in December 2021, the Thai actor expressed his appreciation for his fans in the Philippines.

"Philippines is [a] very beautiful country with all of the many, many islands there. And, I think it’s the people. I think the Philippine people, they have very good hospitality and they’re very nice people. Very happy to be around them," he said.

Mario also expressed his desire to star in another Filipino film.

"Other projects I’m looking forward to do [in the Philippines] is I think more [movies]. You know I did one – Suddenly It’s Magic and it’s a great, great experience for me working with the Filipino team. And I would like to go back there again and do some more dramas or maybe another movie," he remarked.

Mario headlined Suddenly It's Magic in 2012 with Erich Gonzales.
