Miss Universe owner Anne Jakrajutatip recalled how she apologized to Catriona Gray at an event they both attended in Thailand last year. It was the first time that they both met in person which became a trending topic on social media as netizens speculated what they talked about.

Anne is currently in Manila as she will be attending the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 finals night on May 13, alongside reigning Miss Universe R’Bonney Gabriel.

The Miss Universe owner was asked by Boy Abunda about the specific moment she shared with Catriona in Thailand. The King of Talk asked what she whispered to the Miss Universe 2018 winner which Anne jokingly said “give me the crown.”

Anne became serious during the interview and shared the conversation she had with Catriona last year. She reenacted the scene with Boy and added how much she respects the former beauty queen.

“I said, ‘I do apologize for what ever happened in the past but I’m so glad you are here in Thailand. Welcome to the family of JKN, Miss Universe Organization, I love you, my dear. from the bottom of my heart,’” she recalled.

Boy proceeded to ask Anne why she was apologizing to Catriona to which she said in jest: “Of course, I don’t have to answer!”

The 44-year-old Thai businesswoman revealed that since she and Catriona will be working together more in the future, she needed to “clear all the air” and leave everything behind them.

“I just wanted to get it out of my chest, to clear all the air. I just need to do it, from now on we have to work together so just put the past aside and don’t talk [and] don’t mention [anything] about it again, at all,” she said.

Though Anne didn’t mention anything specific, netizens speculated the possibility of the relationship rumors between her and Catriona’s ex-boyfriend, Clint Bondad. They have since shut down the rumors as she only sees him as a “brother.”
