Liza Soberano named as one of Hollywood’s ‘brightest new stars’

<p>It seems like Liza Soberano is well on her way to fulfilling her dream of making a name for herself in Hollywood. </p><p>Last April 29, the actress’s name was included in <em>Town &amp; Country</em>’s list of “hottest new talent”. <em></em></p><p><em>Town &amp; Country</em> is a US-based lifestyle magazine. In their May issue, they released a feature article on “young actors to keep an eye on” in Hollywood, with Liza starting off the list of six. <span style="color:#000000"></span></p><div><br/></div><div><iframe class="instagram-media instagram-media-rendered" id="instagram-embed-0" src="https://www.instagram.com/p/Crn9QpYNIZL/embed/?cr=1&amp;v=14&amp;wp=540&amp;rd=https%3A%2F%2Fent-workbench-web.abs-cbn.com&amp;rp=%2F#%7B%22ci%22%3A0%2C%22os%22%3A7585.699999988079%2C%22ls%22%3A7562.199999988079%2C%22le%22%3A7564.5%7D" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="881" data-instgrm-payload-id="instagram-media-payload-0" scrolling="no" style="background:white;max-width:540px;width:calc(100% - 2px);border-radius:3px;border:1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219);box-shadow:none;display:block;margin:0px 0px 12px;min-width:326px;padding:0px"></iframe></div><script async="" src="//www.instagram.com/embed.js"></script><div><br/></div><p>Joining her on the shortlist are Will Harrison of <em>Daisy Jones &amp; the Six </em>and <em>Manhunt</em>, West Duchovny of <em>Painkiller</em> and <em>Saint X</em>, Priya Kansara of <em>Polite Society</em>, Khris Davis of <em>Foreman</em>, and Kylie Rogers of <em>Yellowstone</em> and<em> Beau Is Afraid</em>. </p><p>On the magazine’s Instagram account, they acknowledged that although Liza is restarting her career in the US, she is no newbie in the entertainment industry. </p><p>“While she may be making her Hollywood debut in the upcoming black comedy <em>Lisa Frankenstein</em>, she isn’t exactly a rookie,” posted <em>Town &amp; Country</em>. “The 25-year-old veteran model and actress moved from California to the Philippines, when she was 10—and has gained 18 million followers on Instagram over the years.”</p><p>Liza knew what she was getting into when she moved abroad, but is actually looking forward to rediscovering herself as an artist and as an individual. </p><p>“I began my career here as a nobody,” she said in her interview. “which means I’m discovering things about myself that I never knew.”</p><p>It was in June 2022 when Liza signed a contract with Careless Music, a talent management group headed by James Reid. Soon after that, she flew to the United States and was seen mingling with international artists. She also headed to South Korea and met with the artists there. </p><p>In early 2023, Liza confirmed that she was moving to Los Angeles, California so that she would be in a better position to build her career there. </p><p>&quot;I really want to become an actress, like a world-class actress,” said Liza of the reason she is staying in the City of Angels. </p><p>Liza keeps herself busy abroad, training not just to be a better actress, but to be a better musician too. </p><p>“I’m also just getting started with my music or singing career,” she shared. “I&#x27;m also signed to a music label here in LA called Transparent Arts which is owned by the Far East Movement boys. They are really immersing me in the music industry. I have been training a lot here. Liza and Enrique have now gone their separate paths, at least as far as their career goes.
