Actors Jake Cuenca and Baron Geisler are working together on a new project.

In a post on Saturday, May 6, Jake revealed that he and Baron are teaming up for a new film titled Change Oil, which is written and directed by Don Frasco of Waverly Pictures.

“Some projects? You need to produce on your own. ‘Pag gusto maraming paraan,” he wrote next to photos of him with Baron and Don.

“GEISLER X CUENCA 2023. … This year we're burning the house down!” he added.

In the comments section of his post, Baron wrote, “Yes indeed brother!!!!! Love you!!!!!”

Jake and Baron are co-stars on the hit ABS-CBN action series The Iron Heart, starring Richard Gutierrez. They’ve also worked together on the 2009 series Tayong Dalawa and in the 2013 drama film Lihis.

The two were previously involved in a controversy after getting into a heated fight at the backstage of variety show ASAP ‘09, which almost escalated into a physical altercation. In a recent interview on PUSH Bets Live, Jake looked back on his past rivalry with Baron as he opened up about his worst experience working with a co-star.

“In 21 years in showbiz, I’ve done crazy, crazy things on the set,” he said. “I mean… if you ask Baron — because magkasama kami ni Baron sa The Iron Heart — I think he’ll say the same thing.”

“I think the craziest thing we’ve done on the set was muntikan na kaming magsuntukan sa labas ng ASAP. …And Mr. M [Johnny Manahan, former Star Magic head] was there to stop the fight. And it was in the news!” he added. “I would say that was one of my scandalous yet hindi napag-isipan na moments in showbiz.”

The fight between the two actors began after Baron allegedly questioned Jake’s series of good projects on ABS-CBN at the time. According to rumors, the controversial actor supposedly insinuated that it might be because Jake has a “gay backer” inside the TV network.

In spite of their past, Jake said all is well between him and Baron now.

“Me and Baron laugh at it now. We’re the best of friends [now],” he said.

“Time heals all wounds, guys. Like I said, we just survived the end of the world so if you’re mad at someone or if you can forgive someone, I suggest do it,” he added. “‘Cause you don’t know when this is going to happen again, ‘di ba? Like when a pandemic, when the end of the world is going to happen. So for me, personally, I like to live life with no hate.”
