<p>Beauty queen-turned-politician Leren Mae Bautista has denied rumors romantically linking her to basketball player and actor Ricci Rivero.</p><p>In a statement on Monday (June 12), the office of the Los Baños councilor addressed her alleged romantic involvement with Ricci, amid rumors tagging her as the third party in his breakup with Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes.</p><p>“We want to make it clear that these claims are entirely false and have no basis in reality,&quot; the statement read.</p><p>&quot;Councilor Leren Mae Bautista has dedicated herself to serving the community of Los Baños with utmost sincerity and integrity. Likewise, we call on everyone to understand the importance of fact-checking information shared across various internet platforms,” the statement added.</p><p>Last Friday (June 9), Ricci broke his silence over rumors surrounding his relationship with Andrea, suggesting that they have called it quits after over a year of dating.</p><p>“I own up to the mistake of not making my relationship status public because I felt there’s no need to add up to what were going through. Please respect our decision to keep it to ourselves so that we can preserve whats left of our friendship,” Ricci wrote.</p><p>“I hope let’s stop creating your own versions and dragging other characters into these false accusations. I am sorry for whatever disappoinments it may have caused you—for everyone’s peace of mind, please allow ourselves to heal and move on peacefully without hate and pain,” he added.</p><p>The two became an official couple after the former UP Fighting Maroons star asked Andrea to be his girlfriend during a UAAP game in April 2022.
