Erwan Heussaff added another feather to his cap after he bagged the Broadcast Media Award under the Social Media Account category at the James Beard Media Awards.

The content creator took to social media to mark this new feat in his career saying: "I'm still shaking. We made it!"

Upon receiving the award, Erwan, in his speech, expressed his gratitude to the foundation and to his production team in the Philippines.

"Thank you to my family and to my beautiful wife and daughter for allowing me to travel to tough places to create stories," he said.

He also highlighted the goal that goes with the content he is creating which is to put the spotlight on Filipino food and culture.

"Anywhere you go all over the world, you meet Filipinos especially in the food and beverage industry. In fact one of our largest revenue streams as a country are Filipinos who are working overseas, yet not a lot has known about our culture or our food," she stated.

He continued: "Tons of people have said that Filipino food is the next big thing and I'm obsessed with trying to figure out how to make it just the next big thing."

The content creator said that the award motivates him even more to fulfill his goal.

"And so this for me means absolutely everything because it motivates me further to keep shining a light to our beautiful country and to our beautiful people and the food that is made in our kitchens," he stated.

Following his big win, his wife Anne Curtis penned a heartwarming message for him on social media.

In an Instagram post, the actress-host expressed how proud she is of her husband.

"I’ve seen how passionate you are about sharing stories of Filipino food and the culture and deeper story behind each ingredient. You and the @tfkistudios team work so hard… Traveling all over the country to find the core and masters of each dish and ingredient, whilst keeping it as authentic as possible," Anne wrote.

She added: "Congratulations on this amazing feat! I can’t wait to see more stories that are faithfully told, not only about Filipino cuisine but also about the spirit, communities and culture behind it! Mabuhay @tfkistudios @featrmedia and @erwan for being recognised by @beardfoundation. Dahlia and I are so proud of you @erwan!"

Fans online were also quick to extend their congratulatory messages to Erwan.

According to its YouTube channel, the James Beard Awards "honor the nation’s top cookbook authors, food and beverage broadcast producers, hosts, podcasters, and food journalists."
