Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual admitted that he has been so busy the past few years that he doesn’t see himself in a relationship at the moment. In an interview with veteran columnist and talent manager Ogie Diaz, Piolo opened up about how he is used to being single for quite some time now.

Piolo revealed that he’s been feeling like this for a decade already.

“Wala eh, lumaki ako, sabi ng pastor sa akin ‘mahirap yan pag-nawili ka na mag-isa ka lang, pag nawili ka na wala kang kasama, baka masanay ka,’ I think that’s what happened,” he shared.

Piolo confessed that there are still nights when he would long for someone beside him but he knows he can’t commit at the moment because of his busy schedule.

“I’ve been single for so many years. Of course, there are nights na sana may katabi ka pero I’m not the type na gusto kong may kasama. Nasanay na ako na ganito. Wala kang pinagrereportan, wala kang kailangang uwian,” he added.

The 46-year-old actor shared in the same interview that he doesn’t do flings as well since he sees the importance of emotional and physical “investment.”

“Hindi eh, sayang naman yung investment. Wag naman yung gamitan, just because kailangan or gusto mo. Kung hindi ka naman makakapag commit and hindi mo kaya panindigan because you don’t have time for it, ‘wag nalang. I brush it off or hindi ko nalang iniisip,” he said.

Piolo added that he isn’t closing the doors on a possible romance in the future.

“Siguro pagtanda ko nang kaunti, aabot ako dun, pero sa ngayon talaga I don’t see it happening. Hindi ko siya ineentertain and I don’t even see the point of being in a relationship because I’m busy. I’m booked until next year so I don’t have time for it. Even if I want it, wala naman akong time, saan ko siya ilalagay?" he added.

The Kapamilya actor is putting his attention on his craft for now. He is set to portray the role of Father Juan Severino Mallari, a Filipino Catholic priest who was also the first documented serial killer in the Philippines.
