As if the transfer of It’s Showtime from TV5 to GTV wasn’t enough to prove the biggest plot twist in Philippine television history has finally happened, the long-running ABS-CBN noontime variety show achieved yet another feat after ABS-CBN and GMA stars came together to stage an opening production like no other.

It’s Showtime marked its debut on GTV with a bang after some of GMA’s biggest stars, such as Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, Christian Bautista, Mark Bautista, Pokwang, Rayver Cruz, and Rodjun Cruz performed alongside the mainstay hosts of the show in a series of jaw-dropping performances.

While each of the hosts' production numbers  undoubtedly left everyone on the edge of their seats, Vice Ganda brought the house down when it was finally his turn on stage — making his performance one for the books.

In yet another historic feat for Philippine television, Vice  performed at the GMA Network Center for the show’s opening production number. Just when everyone thought it was just a simple performance from the helicopter pad of ABS-CBN’s ELJ Communication Center, Vice hopped into a helicopter, flew over Kamuning, and arrived at GMA Network’s headquarters. There, he was welcomed by Kapuso employees before performing The Wanted’s “Glad You Came” outside the building of the network.

Meanwhile, Christian Bautista and Mark Bautista — former Kapamilya singers themselves — reunited with their colleagues and friends including Gary Valenciano, ZsaZsa Padilla, Jona, and Kyla, among others, after they served as guest judges for Tawag Ng Tanghalan Duets.

Other Kapuso stars who graced the opening of It’s Showtime included Richard Yap and Gabbi Garcia who star alongside Jodi Sta. Maria and Joshua Garcia in GMA, ABS-CBN, and Viu’s co-production Unbreak My Heart.

Homegrown Kapamilya stars Alexa Ilacad, Belle Mariano, Chie Filomeno, and Jolina Magdangal also joined in on the fun.
