Kazel Kinouchi said Donny Pangilinan is the actor whom she wants to work with among all the Kapamilya leading men right now.

Kazel has come a long way since her early days as a Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010 housemate. She was part of the same edition of the hit reality show where James Reid, Ryan Bang, and Yen Santos were a part of.

Although she had to exit the show on the 43rd day along with Yen and two other housemates, Kazel went on to become a star of her own through the hit Kapuso series Abot Kamay Na Pangarap where she plays Zoey Tanyag. But who else does she want to work with at GMA-7? 

Now that she’s with the Kapuso network, Kazel admitted that she looks forward to working with the Kapuso queen herself, Marian Rivera. While it is still unclear whether Marian will appear on Abot Kamay Na Pangarap, Kazel keeps her hopes up as the show features various stars from time to time.  

“Hindi ko alam kung mag gue-guest siya pero kung mabibigyan kami ng chance si Marian Rivera. Sana ma-guest namin si Marian Rivera,” Kazel told PUSH in an exclusive interview. 

“Noong bata pa lang kasi ako talaga, sobrang gandang-ganda na ko sa kaniya. Sinundan ko talaga yung bago–’yung kaka discover pa lang sa kanya as an artista tapos hanggang sobrang naging sikat na siya. So she’s one of my–pag sinabi mong GMA, she’s one of my favorite actresses,” she added. 

She also said that Heart Evangelista is on her list. 

But did you know that one of her closest friends from the Kapamilya network is none other than ABS-CBN’s resident Star Patroller Ganiel Krishnan? They previously worked on Oh My G! and they have since become friends. 

“Pagkatapos ng show, nagha-hangout lang kami. Kaming tatlo ‘yun kasi ‘yung kaming tatlo sa show na ‘yun, kami ‘yung tatlong maldita sa show na yun eh. So kaibigan ko na talaga sila. Yung character ko, kaibigan din nung character nila sa show na ‘yun,” she said. 

But given a chance, she admitted that she would like to work with Donny Pangilinan in the future. However, she added in jest that she has no intentions of taking Donny away from his love team partner, Belle Mariano. 

“Ang gusto kong maka work sa kabilang station si Donny. ‘Di ko siya aagawin kay Belle ha pero gusto ko lang siya maka work,” she said. 

On why she wants to work with Donny, Kazel said she saw an interview of Donny with ABS-CBN broadcast journalist Karen Davila where she witnessed the Kapamilya leading man’s charm and substance on top of his looks. 

“Kasi I saw his interview and nakasama ko rin siya sa work before sa ABS-CBN and I saw his interview with Ms. Karen Davila. Makikita mo talaga na he is a man with substance. So yun yung ano, parang nakaka inspire. At such a young age, parang you will learn something from him tsaka diba ang gwapo niya at matangkad pa,” she said. 

Kazel also said that Donny’s faith as a Christian made her even more interested in Donny beyond his craft as an actor. 

“At saka Christian din kasi siya, kasi ako din I am a Christian also. Nagdodonate siya sa Church niya, parang ang galing lang, alam mo ‘yun?” she said. 

Despite her talent as an actress, Kazel admitted that she wasn’t able to give her best when she was with ABS-CBN. So, she promised to give her everything when she finally moved to the Kapuso network. Now, she’s enjoying every bit of her success. 

Kazel previously appeared on ABS-CBN shows like Good Vibes, Paraiso, Be Careful with my Heart, Pasión de Amor, A Love To Last, and even several episodes of the now-defunct anthology series Maalaala Mo Kaya. She’s also the actress who played Georgina on Be Careful with My Heart and Miley Santiago on Oh My G!

“So parang pagka ano, ayun ‘di ko ine-expect pero iniisip ko na lang, sabi ko, ‘Gagalingan ko pagdating ko sa GMA. I’m gonna do my best.’ Kasi I think when I was in ABS-CBN, hindi ko siguro binigay yung best ko kasi I was thinking, ang dami kong gusto gawin sa buhay, siyempre pag bata pa tayo ang daming mga distractions but now when I got to GMA, parang I’m gonna do my best and naging fruitful naman. And na-realize ko na when you really love what you're doing, basta if love mo yung work mo, it’s gonna love you back and so that will happen,” she said.
