Beloved is Belle Mariano’s first ever solo live concert, featuring songs from part one of her sophomore album, Somber.She intended her concert to be a gift, and what a gift it was. From the whimsical set design, the changing lights, the sparkling outfits, the wide range of music, and the quality of the performances, Beloved was a treat for the senses. In a previous interview, Belle explained how she wanted the concert to tell a story. “We want it to be a journey for the audience,” she explained. In between production numbers, a video was shown with Belle voicing out her thoughts. The words were chosen to convey Belle’s insights and emotions, and were meant to resonate with the audience’s emotions. “We must be in the darkness to appreciate the daylight,” she said, as she shared her thoughts about being somber.“We all deserve to reach a solemn state,” she said later on, hinting at her next album, Solemn. Even with the huge crowd, Belle was able to connect with the audience as she spoke to them conversationally throughout the show. “This concert is for you guys, my beloved,” declared Belle. “My intention is to show you how much I love you all.”Belle was a vision in pink as she walked onstage. She opened the concert with “Sigurado,” a song from the hit series <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/hesintoher">He’s Into Her</a>. From the mellow song, Belle quickly switched to the upbeat “Levitating” by Dua Lipa. Aside from showcasing her talents as singer and dancer, Belle also took the opportunity to share songs from her sophomore album, such as “Road Trip” and “Session Road,” among others.Belle also shared the spotlight with her fellow artists and collaborators, acknowledging their talent and contribution to her album. She did a duet of  “Pansamantala” with Cesca, while she sang “Running Out of Time” with Trisha Denise. She also shared the dance floor with Darren Espanto, both singing and dancing to “Dati” by Sam Concepcion and Tippy Dos Santos. A versatile singer, Belle did a medley of cover songs which included Olivia Rodrigo’s “Driver’s License,” The Script’s “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” and Paula Cole’s “I Don’t Want To Wait.” She also accepted the challenge to put her own twist to favorite songs such as Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” and Abba’s “Dancing Queen.”Towards the latter part of the show, Belle channeled her inner Swiftie as she went onstage with a guitar to sing “Rise,” which was from her debut album Daylight. She followed it with “Somber and Solemn,” a song from her sophomore album. To cap off the night, Belle hyped up the crowd once more with an energy-filled rendition of Selena Gomez’s “Who Says,” then gave in to a request for an encore by performing Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance.”
