Netflix releases trailer for ‘What If’ starring Alessandra de Rossi and JM de Guzman

Alessandra de Rossi and JM de Guzman are set to star in a new Netflix film titled What If.

Netflix released the trailer of the movie on Thursday, August 10. The film is produced by Viva Films and AWOOO.

In the trailer, Alessandra and JM can be seen playing a married couple.

The synopis read: "When a pair of newlywed musicians get trapped in a storm on their island honeymoon, they must face difficult truths that could tear their marriage apart."

Following the release of the trailer, Alessandra extended her congratulatory message to her team.

"Sept 7!!!!!!! @netflixph @viva_films @aworld.of.our.own present WHAT IF!!! I love you @1migueldeguzman @mannyqpalo @mikersindahawz we made it!!! Charothhhh," she posted on her Instagram page.

Meanwhile, JM wrote on his social media page: "For things to come together, they must fall apart. What If, starring Alessandra De Rossi and JM De Guzman, is the new mapanakit movie to watch for. September 7, only on Netflix."

Fans were quick to express their excitement about the film.

"Wow, congrats! stellar actor and actress, a must see!" one fan commented.

"Wooooowww can’t wait so excited for this trailer palang kaabang abang na," another fan said.

"Wow ang ganda naman trailer parang maubos ako ng madame tissue nito excited to watch full movie on Netflix," one fan wrote.

It was in August 2022 when Alessandra and JM first announced that they are teaming up for the film.

"Wala na! Na-post na! Walang atrasan!" Alessandra wrote on her Instagram page last year.

Alessandra’s previous Netflix project My Amanda was released in 2021. Not only did she star in the film but she also had her directorial debut in the movie. Alessandra was paired with Piolo Pascual in the said project. 

Meanwhile, JM last starred in the film titled Love Lockdown in 2020. He is currently starring in the Kapamilya series titled The Iron Heart.
