Celebrity DJ JhaiHo shared his enthusiasm about returning to radio and managing his own program.

In an interview with PUSH, JhaiHo expressed his excitement to make a comeback to ABS-CBN, stating how he waited for nearly four years before finally making his return. JhaiHo was a DJ on ABS-CBN’s FM station 101.9 before the shutdown.

“Actually, pa-almost 4 years din yung inantay ko talaga sa comeback na ito. Hindi man sa FM sa 101.9 frequency pero sa pamilya ko pa rin. From dating DZMM na ngayon DWPM Radyo 630 Teleradyo Serbisyona,” he shared.

“Grabe yung excitement ko na muling magsalita sa micropono, pumindot ng mga aparatus at mag maneho ulitng sarili kong programa. As in sobrang ang saya-saya ng puso ko sa pagbabalik himpapawid kong ito,” he added.

The internet and television star also opened up on his choice to come back.

“Dito kasi ako talagang nakikilala as DJ JhaiHo sa radyo. Nung nag-sara ako ng FM, pinangako ko na hindiako eere sa ibang station kundi sa ABS pa rin dapat,” he said.

He added, “Nangako ako na ang boses ko pagdating sa radio, dito lang talaga muling aalingawngaw. Mahal kokasi ang radyo. Malaki ang utang na loob ko dito kaya itong comeback, sobrang the long wait is over dahilfinally I’m back on the airwaves!”

During his hiatus, DJ JhaiHo revealed he had time to self-reflect and contemplate on his realizations.

“Honestly, sa radio lang ako talaga nawala na parang hindi kasi sinigurado ko nagawing very visible ang brand ko,” he said.

“Sa realization in terms of work, masasabi ko na pag-gusto mo talaga ang bagay na ginagawa mo, babalik atbabalik ka dito. Bottom line: Make yourself visible and relevant pa din talaga. Laban lang, wag paghinganaanng loob. Wag susuko.”

When asked if there would be anything his listeners could expect from him, JhaiHo highlighted that fans should anticipate changes.

“Kasama ang ‘new’ talaga. Una sa title ng programa yun na agad Bongga Ka Jhai so expect ng manunuod attagapakinig ito na YES Laging Bongga as usual pero sa oras na 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., mabubusog sila saentertainment chika with live guest celebrities, performers, mga new artists na pwede madiscover andsiyempre mga exclusive interviews hindi mawawala,” he explained.

After ABS-CBN was forced to cease operations in 2020, MOR Radio, the network’s FM station, went off the airas well. Radio jocks, musicians, and former DJs came together one night to celebrate and lament the station's closure through Facebook Live.

Starting August 20, 2023, DJ JhaiHo will return with his program Bongga Ka, Jhai live on DWPM Radyo 630,Teleradyo Serbisyo, every Sunday from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
