<p>Right after signing her new contract with ABS-CBN, actress Jane Oineza got nostalgic looking back on her long and colorful journey with the network which has been her home all these years.</p><p>“Nakakaiyak talaga sa totoo lang kasi parang nakikita mo lahat ng pinagdaanan mo, lahat ng mga memories, lahat ng mga noon for me it was really about having fun pero now all the hard work na nakikita ko. Nakakataba lang ng puso na makita kung nasaan ako ngayon. Wala naman… Kasi ako naman, kung ano lang din naman yung ‘I’m just going to try and wait patiently for the right time’ and if the right time is now, I’m just really thankful na binigay sa akin yung opportunity na yun ngayon. I feel like I’m more ready din to receive it now so in God’s perfect time. Even with Star Magic hindi ko kayang iwan. Kumbaga family ko na kasi lumaki ako with them. So hindi din talaga pumasok sa isip or na-consider ko. I-pi-present din din naman siya, may proper pitching. Ako kasi hindi ako namimili ng project. So kung ano yung ibibigay sa akin, I’ll do my best to give it justice at kung ano yung requirement of me, yun din ang ibibigay ko. So siguro ngayon that I got older, tinatanong ko lang what is expected of me para mabibigay ko and hindi ko tatanggapin ito kung hindi ko mabibigay yung lahat lahat ng kailangan nila at lahat lahat ng kaya ko ibigay. Meron namang direction. And with the help of course with our handlers and our road managers. Sila naman yung nag-ga-guide and of course direk Lauren (Dyogi). Tulungan siya. Talagang may mga times lang na mas self-critical ka siguro. Hindi naman sa nainip pero parang ano pa kaya yung puwede ko i-improve? Ano pa yung parang trial and error ko sa sarili ko? More self-critical than questioning yung ibang bagay. And again, parang i’ts the right time. I was just waiting for the time to come and I was just preparing myself para pagdating ng opportunity, i’m also ready to receive it. Para deserving din ako to receive it.</p><p>“Para sa akin, I look at it positively na I am welcoming the challenge kung ano yung parang hinindian ng iba sige gagawin natin yan, kakayanin natin yan. And again, we’ll take the challenge. So more than the negative, I think mas positive siya for me,” she shared.</p><p>Having started out in showbiz as a child actress, Jane said she has no regrets with the course of her journey in the entertainment industry so far.</p><p>“It started as something fun for me. Kasi siyempre nung bata ako it was a different role or a different personality and I get to play pretend, ganun. And then from that, nag-grow siya to being my passion talaga and now I can’t imagine doing something else and this is what I want to do. This is what I was meant to do. And I am in good hands kaya ever since I’ve always been with ABS-CBN and I trust them and I trust their timing and I trust Star Magic also. And now we’re here so siguro patience lang talaga and hard work and eventually the seed that you planted will bloom eventually,” she said.</p><p>If she were to share some advice with other artists who are currently in the same position she was before, Jane said that patience is key.</p><p>“Hindi siya nangyayari overnight and talagang may mga trial and errors, kailangan mo rin kilalanin or maging patient sa sarili mo and to try out what works and what doesn’t for you. But most importantly is to never stop dreaming and reaching for your goals. And no matter what other people say, parang you have to be you’re number one fan and you have to believe in yourself until they see what you see in you. Yun lang. Huwag lang susuko talaga. Just be patient and trust in you and trust in the people around you,” she said.  </p>
