"It's putting representation out there into the world."

This was how voice talent Inka Magnaye described her dubbing stint in the Marvel movie Blue Beetle.

In an interview with CNN Philippines, Inka remarked that bagging the project felt like a "whirlwind."

"It did take some time to do the work. They called us in advance because it takes time to do a production, but like I said it feels like everything happened so fast," she remarked.

Inka is the voice of the Scarab called "Khaji-Da" in the film for its Philippine release.

The voice talent shared that the production team's original plan was for her to do content only.

"And then they were like, 'You know what, get her to dub the movie,'" she remarked.

Inka has become the first voice actress based in the Philippines to take part in a DC movie.

"It's so important to have representation. I feel like that's what this dubbing is doing for Filipinos. It's putting representation out there into the world," she stated.

"I’M IN A DC MOVIE!!✨ I am wildly honored to announce that I will be the voice of the scarab for the Philippine theatrical release of DC’s new movie, Blue Beetle 😱💙," she posted on her Instagram page in early August.

She added: "It’s been one of my big dreams to be a canon part of a superhero world, and now I get to share this wonderful news with all of you!! Some of the lines will be in Tagalog, too!"

In another Instagram post, Inka shared some behind-the-scenes of her doing the dubbing for the film. She also extended her gratitude to the producers of the movie for giving her the opportunity to be part of it.

"This was the day we recorded #BlueBeetle 💙 I can’t say it enough, how thankful I am for this opportunity. The immense gratitude I feel for Warner Bros and DC has now extended to all of you, the fans of DC who have welcomed me into your fold, and all other movie goers who enjoy a fun film!" she wrote on August 20.
