‘Weak Hero Class 1’ star Park Ji-hoon to visit Manila for Korea Travel Fiesta

South Korean actor and singer Park Ji-hoon is set to visit Manila this September.  

The Korea Tourism Organization Manila shared a video of the Korean star announcing that he will be heading to the Philippines as part of the Korea Travel Fiesta 2023.

In the video, Ji-hoon said: "Hello, Filipino fans! I am Park Ji-joon. Nice to meet you! This year we celebrate the 'Visit Korea Year 2023-2024' and I want to invite you all to come to Korea soon. Please join me on September 2 at the Korea Travel Fiesta 2023 at Glorietta."

He added: "Salamat po! Mahal ko kayo!"

Aside from Ji-hoon DOODLE POP and JUMP will also be part of the Korea Travel Fiesta.

The Korean Tourism Organization said that admission is free but those who wish to attend the event can secure seats by answering a form they posted on their Facebook page. Forms are open until August 28 only. 

They also said liking, following, and subscribing to KTO Manila's social media accounts are part of the mechanics as well.

"Winners will be announced on August 29, 2023 on KTO Manila's Facebook page. Instructions to claim the event pass will be sent to the winner's email address," KTO said.

Ji-hoon started his career in the South Korean entertainment industry as a K-Pop idol and a member of the boy group, Wanna One. He became part of the K-Pop group after he became the second placer in the reality competition Produce 101 in 2017.

In 2019, he became a solo artist and released his EP O'Clock.

He then starred in several series in South Korea, including Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency in 2019, Love Revolution in 2020, and Weak Hero Class 1 in 2022.

In July this year, Ji-hoon won the Best New Actor/Rookie Actor award at the Blue Dragon Series Awards 2023 for his performance in Weak Hero Class 1.

In his speech at the awarding ceremony, Ji-hoon said that it was both an honor and a blessing to receive the award.

"It’s my first time winning an award, so I’m nervous as everything is new. Winning this award in front of senior actors is a dream and an honor. Every year, it is a blessing to have met many people and share many emotions while working on various projects," he said.

He continued: "I will become an actor who grows more in the future. I am grateful to my family, the actors, and the production crew who have supported and cheered me on."
