Taylor Swift becomes first female artist to reach 100M monthly listeners on Spotify

Global pop star Taylor Swift has made history once again on Spotify.

According to Spotify, the singer has broken records in monthly listeners on the platform.

"Queen behavior 👑 On August 29th, Taylor Swift became the first female artist in Spotify history to reach 100 million monthly listeners," the streaming platform announced.

Fans of the Taylor were quick to react to this new achievement of the singer.

"Proud to be part of that 100 millionđŸ«¶đŸŒ," one fan commented.

"The music industry," another fan wrote.

"Mother is mothering," another fan quipped.

Taylor is currently in the midst of her mega successful tour called "The Eras Tour." She recently wrapped up this year's US leg of the tour.

"The Eras Tour" is poised to be the biggest tour of all time according to a report by CNN as it could gross $2.2 billion in the US alone.

Taylor had 68 shows in the US for this year, with over 70,000 attendees per show. Pre-sales and first-sale tickets were priced at $455.78 each.

Elton John presently holds the highest-grossing tour record with the "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour that grossed $887 million from 2018 to 2023.

This coming October, Taylor Swift will be releasing 1989 (Taylor's Version) much to the anticipation of her fans.

"Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on its way to you 🔜! The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th," she posted on social media on August 10.

The singer added: "To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long! Pre-order 1989 (Taylor’s Version)."

Taylor previously released other re-recordings including  Fearless (Taylor's Version), Red (Taylor's Version), and Speak Now (Taylor's Version).
