"Dito nagsimula ang lahat sa totoo lang talaga."

These were the words of Jasmine Curtis-Smith as she returned to It's Showtime on Saturday, August 5.

Jasmine opened the show with a performance.

It has been 13 years since she performed in the noontime program where her sister Anne Curtis remains as one of the mainstay hosts.

"Thank you for having me back, Showtime family," Jasmine remarked.

In the online segment of the program, Jasmine shared that her sister Anne only knew about her guest appearance a day before the show.

"Si Ate nalaman niya lang kahapon na mag-ge-guest ako. Ako ang dahilan kung bakit siya pumasok ngayon. Kaya dapat lagi nyo ako gine-guest...Parang homecoming yung feeling," she said.

The actress added: "Bago ako magsimula sa showbiz, sumasama lang ako kay Ate. Nanonood ng Showtime and then eventually dahil lagi akong sabit, sige nga mag-prod na nga sila ni Anne."

Jasmine, who is a GMA star, said that ABS-CBN's partnership with GMA's GTV channel has made her crossover possible.

"Para akong tumanggap ng isang malaking yakap and niyakap ka ng pabalik ng warm and tight hug. Thankful ako na may opportunity ako na tumawid ng legit. Legal para sa aking network," she stated.

It was on June 28 when It's Showtime signed a contract with GTV.

Following the historic deal, Anne took to social media to express her gratitude to GMA for giving the noontime show a platform to make more people happy.

"A day I never thought would happen. Got goosebumps when Atty. Gozon said 'the TV war is finally over...' Thank you again @gmanetwork for giving @itsshowtimena another home on @gtvphilippines ! And to our bosses of ABSCBN, maraming salamat because you keep the hope in us alive by finding ways for us to continue our journey in making the madlang people happy!" Anne posted on her Instagram page.

It's Showtime started airing on GTV on July 1.
