Eula Valdes and Bea Binene will join Nadine Lustre in her upcoming horror movie with award-winning director Mikhail Red.

This was announced by Viva Artists Agency on Monday (August 7) as it shared a group photo showing Nadine with her co-stars and Director Mikhail.

“LOOK: New project coming soon from Award-winning Director @red_mikhail with Multimedia Princess @nadine, @beabinene, [and] Ms. @eulavaldes,” their post read.

Aside from Eula and Bea, former Hashtags member Wilbert Ross and child actor Robbie Wachtel are also set to join the cast of Nadine’s new film.

It was in February when reports confirmed that Nadine and Mikhail were teaming up for another horror movie project entitled Nokturno.

The two first worked together on the box-office hit Deleter, which was an official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) last year. The movie ended up taking home several awards at the 2022 MMFF Gabi ng Parangal, including Best Picture, Best Director, and a Best Actress award for Nadine.

Set for release this 2023, Noktruno is described as a film about a primal and supernatural curse that haunts a rural Filipino family and the daughter who left them to live overseas.

In a statement given to ABS-CBN News — Red, who is also known for his work on the critically acclaimed films Eerie and Birdshot — said Nokturno aims to present a Filipino story with exciting plots and imaginative ideas.

"We will take wild swings, aim for spectacle and fresh concepts, yet ground them in sustainable and feasible production. Our films aim to be accessible and exciting to the everyday Filipino audience and will have the craft, production value, and sensibilities for international export as well," he said.

Aside from Nokturno, the acclaimed director is also working on a new project, Helel, a sci-fi spiritual horror film set in the near future about a Filipina astronaut who encounters the devil.
