Gary Valenciano on recent health scare in the US: ‘I’m going to complete this tour!’

After completing his US concert tour this month, Gary Valenciano gave an update on his health condition to his fans after announcing his concert dates next month when he gets back in the country.

He wrote, “Oh yes I’m getting better friends. I’ve been given the go signal to exercise and I’m feeling a whole lot better than I did last week. God has been amazingly faithful yet again.

“I’m going to complete this tour with flying colors and then I’ll be heading back to the Music Museum for the repeat performances. Just be patient. Tickets will be out very very soon!!!”

In an Instagram post last September 14, Gary reposted a message from his wife Angeli on his account which revealed why the tickets to his repeat concert at the Music Museum next month are still on hold.

“First, as the president of Manila Genesis (his entertainment and management company), please allow me to apologize if the tickets for the repeat of the Music Museum series are still on hold. What happened is that, from being super healthy, Gary caught a bug, and we couldn’t determine what he had until he had certain medical tests done here in the USA.”

The explanation continued, revealing the doctor’s findings.

“The findings were pneumonia, so we went on red alert. We had to decide whether to continue with the US concerts and the shows in October as scheduled or to postpone them. If we canceled October 21 then it would not be a Road to 100. If we postponed a sold out Cache Creek then what about the sold out room reservations and when would we reset it? Was Gary’s health going to be compromised if we continued with the tour? Should we just do 3 shows in the repeat? To compound the operations of the Gary V team, our tour director, Gina Maria Valenciano Martinez, and I both contracted COVID at the same time! Now that we are both negative, we are slowly able to focus on other matters as our main priority was Gary’s health, followed by Gina’s and mine,” Angeli wrote.

Before ending the post, Gary’s wife shared the good news that his health has been improving.

“Please we request for just a little more patience as we address the ticketing concerns for the repeat. We held off on releasing whatever was left from all the reservations and from the waitlist of the last series, waiting to see if Gary’s health would improve. And it did! Thank God! He's slowly recovering! Give us a few days, and our beloved Oneng Echane will get back to you (she is very efficient promise but she could not get back to anyone as we didn’t even know if the run would push through suddenly!)…

“Thank you for understanding. God bless Gary!”

In an earlier post, Mr. Pure Energy shared the dates for his upcoming Canada tour. He wrote, “Whatever posts you’ve seen of us on stage are part 1 of this incredible tour we’ve been having!!!
