Yeng Constantino got candid and explained why she has yet to start a family with husband Yan Asuncion.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Yeng recounted a moment when she thought she was pregnant and the uneasy feeling she had about it.

The singer remarked that it made her realize that she is not yet ready to be a parent.

I really wanted to be that kind of woman," she confessed.

The singer said that she wants to address first the different aspects of herself before becoming a parent.

"I really feel like I have to take my time to fix also my mindset.

But Yeng pointed out that if it's God will for her to have a child already, she will fully accept it.

When asked what her worries are about, Yeng replied, "Siguro po 'pag lumaki kang hirap. Mahirap po talaga 'yung parang hindi naman po sa ini-expect mo na 'yung doom, parang feeling mo about to happen."

The "Chinito" singer said that she wants to be secured financially first before having a child. "Gusto kong ma-secure 'yung sarili ko at kaming mag-asawa financially lahat now para dumating siya tapos sobrang lahat ng gusto niya mapupunnta sa kanya," she said.

Yeng said that she doesn't want her future child to experience what she experienced when she was younger.

So kami po mag-asawa we're really working hard to prepare kung anuman 'yung magiging pangangailangan in the future," she said.
