Fil-Am artist Olivia Rodrigo wants to tour the Philippines: ‘People there are so welcoming’

<p>Filipino-American singer Olivia Rodrigo expressed her desire to visit the Philippines.</p><p>In an interview with <em>Rolling Stone</em>, the <em>Guts </em>singer shared that she wants to tour the Philippines. &quot;People there are so welcoming and hospitable and awesome. Filipino people ride for other Filipino people,&quot; she said.</p><p>Olivia was born to a Filipino father and a German-Irish mother. She was all praises for the beauty queen.</p><p>“People always say I look like her — and she’s [one of] the most beautiful persons that I’ve ever seen — so anytime people say that, I’m like, ‘Really? The singer shared that popular Filipino delicacies are always present during their celebrations.</p><p>&quot;My dad grew up in a house where they were always making Filipino food, his grandpa always spoke Tagalog. All of those traditions have trickled down to our generation. Every Thanksgiving, we have lumpia, and things like that,&quot; the singer said in an interview with Center for Asian American Media (CAAM).</p><p>The Grammy-award winning singer recently released her second studio album<em> Guts</em> which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.</p><p>&quot;I’m grateful all the f**king time💗💗💗thank u guys for the most love filled, exciting week,&quot; she posted on her Instagram page following the big feat that <em>Guts</em> achieved in a week.</p>
