SB19’s Josh Cullen recently dropped a single with singers Ocho the Bullet and Carrot Mayor, titled "Sofa Remix."

In an interview with the media at the recently concluded 2023 Manila International Book Fair, the three shared stories about the collaboration, including the making of the music video.

The music video has amassed 340,000 views in just three weeks.

Ocho the Bullet, whose real name is Ace Santos, shared his creative process while writing the song. He revealed that the song “was kind of an experiment," admitting that he didn’t think too hard while making the lyrics for the song and just wanted to have fun.

“I was like what if I just try to write a song that was simple, sincere, and not just think about it too much? At that time, I met a girl at a bar the night before and nothing happened. I never saw her again but I was like she was cute,” Ace shared.

“It’s a simp song––nothing happened. What could have been. It’s like a crush––a puppy love song. I feel like why it resonates with a lot of people so much,” he added.

Carrot Mayor, whose real name is Camille Santos, added that they had fun while making the music video. She also said they had to throw an actual party for the visuals of the song.

“We threw a genuine house party and we just filmed it. It was one of the most fun nights I’d say. One of the best nights I ever had. Everything you see in the video actually happened. Just to have fun and whatever makes you happy,” Camille shared.

Josh shared how happy he was to work with his two cousins, admitting it felt natural since he was with his family.

Revealing that he wants to promote his cousins' music as a way of giving back, the SB19 member said that fans can expect more music from them in the future.

“Conceptualizing and everything halos parang wala na akong kailangan––sila na lahat gumawa. I wanna give back, I wanna give them some promotions and performances. Hopefully, marami pa kaming stages together. Maybe fans could expect more songs from us in the future,” Josh said.
