<p>Beauty queen Ariella Arida shared her thoughts on the announcement of the Miss Universe Organization that the pageant is eliminating its age limits for future contestants.</p><p><a href="http://push.abs-cbn.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u><em>PUSH</em></u></strong></a> caught up with the beauty queen after she graced the runway of Bench Fashion Week’s Day 1 where she wore the designs of actress-politician Lucy Torres-Gomez with clothing brand Kashieca.</p><p>Ariella, who was crowned Miss Universe 2013 third runner-up, said: “Well, I appreciate the fact that I think Miss Universe has been doing different guidelines now. Every year, naiiba.&quot; </p><p>&quot;Because I can feel na they want everyone parang… the relatedness to everyone and inclusivity. But personally, ako, I don’t mind having an age limit. I don’t mind if it’s 40 years old or 50 years old, basta sa’kin, I still prefer that there’s an age limit,&quot; she added. </p><p>“For me, it’s too vague eh like literally walang limit so ‘yun. I mean if their concern is for the girls or the [women] who they feel like they lost the opportunity during their young age, I think if you’re 35 now or if you’re 40 now… I mean the [women] can still pursue the career that they want to and even if that means getting the Miss Universe crown,&quot; she continued. </p><p>&quot;Especially now, women are very career-oriented so parang what I’ve observed is they’re really pursuing career first so like at the early 30s, parang now, parang they’re really very career-oriented pa rin so it’s not an opportunity lost,&#x27; she concluded. </p><div><strong>Watch the whole interview here: </strong></div><div><ivs-player data-ivs-key="d4c763cd24bd69e40c24e7f3847f7e0c" data-ivs-spid="3001386" data-ivs-vid="2816959"></ivs-player> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/loader.js"></script></div><div><br/></div><p>Meanwhile, Ariella also shared pieces of advice to women who also aspire to become beauty queens someday, emphasizing the value of hard work. </p><p>“Hard work talaga especially in our country, we’re a big fan of it so to all the girls who’s really aspiring to join, make sure that your heart is 110% into this kasi hindi siya biro. And if I were them, if you’re half-hearted, think again ‘coz minsan lang dumating ‘yung journey na ‘to and iba ‘yung fulfillment if you do this, and if you really want this so bad,&quot; she said. </p><p>&quot;So put your heart into this; it takes a lot of hard work, focus kaya to all the girls, make sure gustong gustong gusto niyo ito,&quot; she added.</p>
