<p>All eyes were on this year’s ABS-CBN Ball, and eagle-eyed netizens couldn’t help but notice how some known celebrity real-life couples chose to go solo during their red carpet walk. Is it a sign of rocky relationships? Well, not really. </p><p>Celebrity couples were quick to dispel those worries as they were soon seen by their partner’s side. Deciding to walk solo seemed to be a career choice and had nothing to do with relationship woes.</p><p>One such couple was Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. It is no secret that the two have long transitioned from an on-screen love team to a real-life couple. </p><p>This year, Kathryn was seen strutting down the red carpet on her lonesome, with Daniel walking right after her instead of walking together hand in hand. </p><p>Fresh from the huge success of <em>A Very Good Girl</em>, Kathryn was fierce and sexy as she walked down the red carpet. Her Mark Bumgarner gown definitely delivered her request for something sleek and powerful. </p><p>“I’m over the moon. I’m a very happy girl,” Kathryn said. “With everything that’s happening now, grabe yung suport na binibigay nila sa amin.”</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1696134202307.png" style="width:600px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>Support for her current project has been overwhelming, and as of 7:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, <em>A Very Good Girl</em> has reportedly surpassed PHP40 million in earnings.</p><p>Kathryn also added that this year’s ball was extra special because of the presence of award-winning actress Dolly De Leon. </p><p>“With Ms D here, it’s very special because this is her first ball ever,” she explained.  </p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1696134159754.png" style="width:600px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>“So many things to be grateful for, and saktong-sakto ang event natin because tonight is all about gratitude,” Kathryn continued. “I’m grateful for a lot of things, especially for family and friends. Sobra ko silang na-appreciate.”</p><p>She also expressed her gratitude for her work and the now-thriving film industry. </p><p>Daniel soon followed her path down the red carpet, making a statement in his black kimono-inspired outfit. </p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1696134120221.png" style="width:600px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>While they opted to walk separately, Daniel noticeably went to Kathryn’s side right after.</p><p>“This is very good for ABS-CBN,” Daniel noted of the ABS-CBN Ball. He shared that one of the things he was grateful for was the opportunity to see other Kapamilyas again. </p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1696134086571.png" style="width:600px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>Aside from Kathryn and Daniel, other real-life couples chose to walk the red carpet separately. </p><p><a href="http://ent.abs-cbn.com/theironheart" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u><em>Iron Heart</em></u></strong></a>’s Miles Ocampo and <a href="http://ent.abs-cbn.com/seniorhigh2023" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u><em>Senior High</em></u></strong></a>’s Elijah Canlas are one such celebrity couple. </p><p>It was around May last year when the two admitted to being a couple in real life. And while they have gone public with their relationship, they have managed to keep their private life and showbiz careers separate from each other. </p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/image.jpg" style="width:600px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/image (1).jpg" style="width:600px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>There was no hard launch for Chie Filomeno and Jake Cuenca for the ball. It can be recalled that they have already revealed that they were dating each other months ago. </p><p>In a previous interview, Jake admitted that this was already his second chance with Chie, who he considers his TOTGA or The One That Got Away. He got his second chance with her last December during the Star Magic Christmas Ball. The two are in no rush and are taking their sweet time dating as they get to know each other better. </p><p>There was no pressure to be the celebrity couple for these two, both of whom have opted to walk solo on the red carpet.
