Christophe Bariou on relationship with Nadine Lustre: ‘We both complement each other’

<p>&quot;We both complement each other and enhance each other.&quot;</p><p>These were the words of Nadine Lustre&#x27;s boyfriend, French-Filipino entrepreneur Christophe Bariou, on what he admires most about his relationship with the actress.</p><p>Christophe also highlighted that they bring out the best in each other. </p><p>&quot;I think that’s the thing I value the most in our relationship is that I think we’re way better [people] when we’re together,&quot; he remarked in an interview with MJ Felipe of ABS-CBN News. </p><p>With the recent big accomplishments of his girlfriend — including winning the Best Actress award at FAMAS anew — the entrepreneur said that he is very proud of Nadine.</p><div><iframe width="1519" height="578" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mDRXx39KF5g" title="Nadine Lustre, Christophe Bariou in first interview together | ABS-CBN News" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>&quot;I&#x27;m proud of what she&#x27;s done and what she&#x27;s doing and I&#x27;m trying to help her the best I can. But for me she&#x27;s still like a normal person so that&#x27;s why we&#x27;re together pretty much,&quot; he stated.</p><p>When asked if tying the knot soon is already part of their plans, Christophe responded: &quot;I think we&#x27;re really super aligned where it&#x27;s going for our relationship and we&#x27;re both really don&#x27;t wanna make plans or be strict  or be in a box.&quot;</p><p>Christophe recently accompanied Nadine at the Vogue Philippines anniversary gala.</p><p>&quot;I&#x27;m not gonna pretend it&#x27;s my usual environment but I&#x27;m super happy to be here with her. So in July last year, two of my friends [and I] ended up going to Siargao just for a vacation. So she asked him [if] we can go to his spot because there&#x27;s a secret beach there where there&#x27;s no one there most of the time and it&#x27;s really peaceful. &#x27;Yun &#x27;yung kung saan nagmi-meet &#x27;yung ilog tsaka &#x27;yung dagat,&quot; she added. </p><p>&quot;So she asked him if we could go but we ended up just swimming in his pool. That&#x27;s pretty much it,&quot; she continued. </p><p>When asked what Christophe felt about dating a public figure, Nadine answered, saying: &quot;He is [comfortable]. Well, he&#x27;s getting used to it at least. I think he understands that it&#x27;s something that he cannot escape. You know, it&#x27;s part of it. So he&#x27;s okay with it.&quot;</p>
