<p>The cameras have started to roll for Nokturno, the upcoming horror movie starring award-winning actress Nadine Lustre.</p><p>On Instagram, producer Evolve Studios shared a glimpse of Nadine as her character Jamie in Nokturno. The movie took home several awards at the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal, including Best Picture, Best Director, and a Best Actress award for Nadine.</p><p>Set for release this 2023, Noktruno is described as a film about a primal and supernatural curse that haunts a rural Filipino family and the daughter who left them to live overseas.</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2023/2/17/nadine-lustre-to-work-again-with-mikhail-red-for-new-horror-offering-nokturno-1100"><strong>READ: Nadine Lustre to work again with Mikhail Red for new horror offering ‘Nokturno’<br/></strong></a></div><p>In a statement given to ABS-CBN News — Director Red, who is also known for his work on the critically acclaimed films Eerie and Birdshot — said Nokturno aims to present a Filipino story with exciting plots and imaginative ideas.</p><p>&quot;We will take wild swings, aim for spectacle and fresh concepts, yet ground them in sustainable and feasible production. Our films aim to be accessible and exciting to the everyday Filipino audience and will have the craft, production value, and sensibilities for international export as well,&quot; he said.</p><p>Aside from Nokturno, the acclaimed director is also working on a new project, Helel, a sci-fi spiritual horror film set in the near future about a Filipina astronaut who encounters the devil.</p>
