True enough, it gained an unprecedented number of followers in just a few months.Led by ABS-CBN Social Media Publishing Head Krishka Lorenz Ramos, ABS-CBN launched a TikTok account to reach more audiences.<div style="text-align:center"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/ABS-CBN-is-TikToks-Breakthrough-Entertainment-Partner-of-the-Year-2.jpg" style="width:1000px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div style="text-align:center"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/ABS-CBN-is-TikToks-Breakthrough-Entertainment-Partner-of-the-Year-1.jpg" style="width:1000px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="ABS-CBN is TikTok’s Breakthrough Entertainment Partner of the Year"/></div>In August 2023, ABS-CBN’s official TikTok page emerged as the top TikTok entertainment account in Southeast Asia, garnering a total of 2.85 billion views at that time.As of this writing, ABS-CBN’s official TikTok page has over 5.4 million followers and 283.3 million likes.Among the most-watched videos on the platform were clips from shows such as <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/dirtylinen">Dirty Linen</a>, <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/batangquiapo">FPJ’s Batang Quiapo</a>, and <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime">It’s Showtime</a>. A number of content from <a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com">PUSH</a>, ABS-CBN’s entertainment news site, are also regularly posted on ABS-CBN’s TikTok account. On Wednesday, September 6, ABS-CBN won the Breakthrough Entertainment Partner of the Year Award. Krishka personally received the award together with the rest of the members of the social media team of ABS-CBN.“Hindi namin ine-expect. But wow,” Krishka began. She went on to thank TikTok for providing them a platform where they could share both entertaining and inspiring stories that continue to resonate with Filipinos in different parts of the globe. “Really, really grateful for this recognition. First and foremost, we would like to thank TikTok Philippines, of course. The platform really gave us a platform to reach new viewers [and] new audiences not just here in the Philippines, but across the globe. And really, that’s one of our biggest goals in ABS-CBN — to inspire, motivate, and to really entertain our Kapamilyas wherever they are,” Krishka said.Krishka dedicated the award to all the Kapamilyas who continue to support ABS-CBN through its efforts to provide quality entertainment to Filipinos worldwide.“So, sa mga Kapamilya namin — and even to our non-Kapamilya viewers who continue to watch our content, comment on our videos, this is your win as much as it is ours.
