Exes James Reid and Nadine Lustre were reunited during the opening of a luxury brand’s flagship store in Makati on Wednesday night, September 6.

In a clip shared by Metro Magazine on Instagram, the former sweethearts — who broke up in 2020 — were cordial as they exchanged pleasantries in front of the media and other stars present during the star-studded evening.

Nadine — clad in a gray ensemble — attended the event sans her boyfriend Christophe Bariou, while James — dressed in a checkered gray suit — was joined by his girlfriend, Issa Pressman.

James, 30, and Nadine, 29, dated for four years before announcing their split in January 2020.

Despite the pair having gone their separate ways, both James and Nadine have insisted that the breakup was amicable and they've remained on good terms.

Last year, James even spoke of his closeness to Nadine in an interview with PUSH Bets Live.

“We're still very close. And, we're still working very closely together as well,” he said.

At the time, Nadine was still a contract artist of James’ record label and management company Careless Music. The actress confirmed leaving the label in a separate interview with DWRX in December 2022.

Meanwhile, Nadine has said that she is open to doing a reunion project with her ex-boyfriend.

“We will see. We don’t know what to expect. That’s what I’ve been telling everyone. If it’s a good project, why not? I’m a very collaborative person. Hindi naman kami magkaaway,” she clarified.

“2023 na po. It’s time for us to start a new chapter,” she added.

Nadine is now in a relationship with Christophe, a Filipino-French businessman who owns a resort in Siargao. The two sparked dating rumors in 2021 before confirming their romance in 2022.

Meanwhile, James went public with Issa after the two were spotted together attending Harry Styles’ concert in Manila last March.
