<p>With her first dark comedy film <em>A Very Good Girl </em>nearing its release date in the country, Kathryn Bernardo shared just how excited she and co-star Dolly de Leon are for their fans to finally see the fruits of their labor with Star Cinema.</p><p>“Nung una namin siyang nakita, we were very, very happy with the trailer and kung paano siya nabuo yung journey na ito. So I’m very happy kasi first award ko yun internationally. Sobrang ganda din nung material na yun. Ang importante magkasama kami off-cam ‘di ba? But then he respects my timing din. Alam ko din na hindi pa ako ready so ayaw mong pilitin yung mga ganun. Ang importante masaya kayo ngayon tapos take it day by day.”</p><p>As to whether that day is coming soon, Kathryn stressed, “Wala tagal pa. Kasi ngayon nandito pa kami sa peak namin ngayon ni DJ na kailangan namin magtrabaho ng magtrabaho especially na may bahay na pinapagawa. Ang daming gastos (laughs).</p><p>“And then parang alam din namin sa sarili namin na hindi pa, hindi pa time. And open kami about it ha. Iba iba naman yung time na lahat. So ngayon, a-attend lang kami ng mga kasal, kunin niyo lang kaming bridesmaids, okay lang sa amin (laughs),” she said.</p><p>Ready to step out of her comfort zone and do more unconventional roles onscreen, Kathryn hopes the audience will see a different side to her acting as well.</p><p>“Sana mag-level naman (laughs). I try naman talaga pero nakakatuwa lang na sana mag-open din ito ng doors hindi lang sa akin kundi pati sa mga projects na ginagawa pa ngayon ng ABS-CBN,” she added.</p><p><em>A Very Good Girl </em>opens on on September 27 in theaters nationwide.
