BTS member RM posted a photo of himself in a military uniform on his social media page, weeks after he started his mandatory military service in Korea.

He also shared a photo of himself alongside fellow BTS member V in military uniforms.

In one of their posts, RM and V can be seen doing a salute.

"Loyalty!" he wrote in the caption of his post.

It was on December 11 when RM and V enlisted in the military service together.

The two BTS members arrived at a military boot camp in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province back in December where they would undergo a five-week basic military training as reported by Yonhap News Agency.

RM and V were visited by their fellow BTS members on the day of their enlistment.

Jin was the first to enlist in South Korea's mandatory military service, followed by J-Hope and Suga.

Jin and J-Hope are currently performing active military duties, while Suga is engaged as a social service agent.

Prior to enlisting in the military service, RM took to social media to pen a heartfelt post for the BTS fans.

"I was so happy to have been able to live as [a member of] BTS for the past 10 years. I’ve said this over and over again, but since an end is also a beginning!" he said in a letter he posted on his Instagram Stories.

"I have faith and I have no doubt that after this passes, new good things will be waiting for us," he added.

V also penned a message on Weverse for their fans saying: "I think I will miss you all so much. Honestly, I’m sad that I can’t make happy memories with ARMY (BTS’s official fan club) for the time being, but besides that one thing, it would be fine."

He added: "The hardest thing is not being able to see ARMY. After a long period of 18 months, I will return to really good health, so ARMY, take good care of your health, and if you spend each day looking for happiness, I will appear saying, 'Ta-da! I’m here!'"
